An "exclusive" club I'm very proud to be part of. No one should ever have to apologise or be shamed for loving a creature who brought so much joy and light and laughter into their lives.
What a beautiful piece. Every word rang true, and you’ve expressed it so beautifully. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this feeling captured quite so perfectly. 🖤🐾
Such a wonderful piece. Had me crying and thinking of Simon and the amazing furry family members my life has been blessed with. And you’re right. I choose them again and again with my whole heart.
Oh wow, that was powerful. I have three kids and two doggies, the love I have for them could rip me open. I have deep traumas around pets and animal losses, but I will always have something around to pour my love into. I just try to give them the best life I can while we are here.
You put it into words— that thing I thought was impossible to put into words. I cried all the way through because the tears are queued up this week for Simon and for my two boys who always got the center of the bed. Thank you.
A heartbreak. I had sadness and anxiety for a week since she announced that he was going to be gone. The feeling that the last days are here. I’ve said good bye to three, and it’s still hard to think about but burned into my memory. Then you think about being without them. So hard. But they truly are the loves of our lives. It’s special and real.
My girl left us the same day as Simon. My heart hurts, the tears are steady, the house is way too quiet. She gave us the best life and so much love. Miss you baby girl, we love you ♥️♥️♥️
Too much to read. You're terribly lucky to have time with your dog before his life deteriorates. In my experience, it was always a sudden pronouncement.

I'm crying again just reading this .. I guess there is no doubt about which side of the fence I'm on 😛🐾
Honestly? Us too ! 🥺

Definitely team A, and dying over your poor things comment on team B 😂
Thank you for this beautiful piece, every word of which rang true.
